Dr. Noelani Iokepa-Guerrero is a Native Hawaiian with familial ties to Kauaʻi, Maui and Hawaiʻi Island. Dr. Iokepa-Guerrero is an associate professor of Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikolani College at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo and Luna Hoʻoikaika Kula Kamaliʻi supporting the Punana Leo Hawaiian Medium Schools. The youngest of the 13 kumu hula of the Papa Lehua Mamo class graduated under Kumu Hula Leinaʻala Kalama Heine in 2009, Noelani has been with Hālau Nā Pualei O Likolehua since 1993. Prior to joining the hālau, Noelani danced under Kumu Wayne Keahi Chang, Kumu Holoua Stender, and Randie Fong.
Dr. Noelani's research focuses on education and she works closely with the Kahuawaiola Teacher Preparation program here at UH Hilo.
