Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani Student Merit Aid Award

Purpose

To support meritorious students at all levels of undergraduate and graduate program completion and including Ke‘elikōlani College laboratory school seniors in special early admit courses.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Ka Ka ʻUla o Keʻelikōlani Minimum cumulative high school and/or college GPA of 3.0 and/or distinctive talent and knowledge base of value to the College in its Hawaiian Studies, Linguistics, Education, and Indigenous Studies fields.
  • Prior community service in a Hawaiian language environment like the ‘Aha Pūnana Leo, a Ke‘elikōlani College laboratory school or another Hawaiian medium public school, and ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawai‘i and/or service in an environment that promotes endangered language and culture survival or increased interaction among peoples of diverse languages and cultures.
